This is the second of three rounds of the mini-championship, using the official Formula 1 Codemasters “F1 2020” game. Once again, everyone takes part remotely, with live commentary coming from London’s Gfinity Arena. We’re fielding the same line-up: Luca Salvadori, who finished ninth in Austria is paired with our pro sim racer Joni Tormala, while Vitantonio Liuzzi can count on the support of our other Esports racer, Manuel Biancolilla.

There are two new elements this year to the way the events are run: our pro sim racers tackle a one-shot qualifying followed by a 5 lap Sprint Race, the result of which sets the grid for our real racers in the Feature Race. At Silverstone, that will be run over 26 laps. Points are given out as per a real Formula 1 race and the championship winning team gets the biggest slice of the prize money to give to its chosen charity, in our case Wings For Life. You can easily watch the Virtual GP live: the action starts this Sunday 7 February at 19.00 CET on this same page and on our social channels!
