The action-packed day celebrates everything to do with the history of the Minardi F1 team, which raced in the blue riband category of motorsport from 1985 to 2005, the year in which we took over the team, carrying on in the same spirit of taking on young drivers who might one day go on to be the champions of tomorrow.
Many significant dates in history are intertwined in this event: from Minardi’s last F1 race, to the last World Championship race run at Imola in 2006, which coincided with our first year in the sport. Over 70 single-seaters will be present at the Santerno circuit, on track or in the paddock, at least 30 of them Formula 1 cars, as will many of the men who drove for the Faenza-based squad over its 20 years in the sport. The ten cars from Scuderia Toro Rosso‘s first decade in Formula 1 will also be there alongside the Minardis.
