Portimao circuit hosts the third round of the 2021 Formula 1 World Championship, the Portuguese Grand Prix, from 30 April to 2 May.
It’s a modern facility, inaugurated at the end of 2008, not far from Portimao, the biggest city in the west of the Algarve. It boasts a hillside location and features a series of natural climbs and drops which make it very spectacular and fun to drive.
In its Grand Prix configuration, Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is 4.684 kilometres long and has 15 corners. However, like many modern tracks, the layout is flexible with no fewer than 64 options. Alongside the track is an impressive sports village with hotels, a sports complex and a kart track.
