The Losail International Circuit hosts the Qatar Grand Prix, the 20th round of the 2021 Formula 1 World Championship.
The facility took just one year to build and was officially inaugurated in 2004. Located not far from the capital Doha, it is a modern track which rapidly became a highpoint of the MotoGP calendar. Now it hosts Formula 1 for the very first time. The circuit boasts an impressive lighting system for perfect night time racing, while the track itself is surrounded by synthetic turf, designed to prevent the desert sand blowing onto it. The track is 5.380 kilometres long and features 16 corners, 10 to the right and 6 to the left. The long 1.068 kilometre main straight means there is no lack of overtaking opportunities.
The Losail track opens its gates to Formula 1 for the very first time to host the Qatar GP that takes place from 19th to 21st of November 2021.
