The much awaited moment has arrived when we can say loud and clear, “save the date.” It’s time to update the diary with new dates and times, because there’s just over a month to go to the restart of the 2020 Formula 1 season, the first in our new identity as Scuderia AlphaTauri.

It begins with a triple header, that gets underway when the lights go out for the Austrian Grand Prix on Sunday 5 July. The Spielberg track will also host the second round, just a week later on 12 July. From there, it’s a dash to the Hungaroring for the Hungarian Grand Prix on 19 July.

August will also feature a triple header with two races at Silverstone and then from there a long drive to Barcelona and the Spanish GP. The European leg of the championship will then close with two iconic events, the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps on 30 August and our home race, the Italian Grand Prix at Monza on 6 September.

For the first time, the calendar will be defined bit by bit as the situation linked to Covid-19 situation changes. If it improves, then the remaining rounds should take place in Eurasia, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East.

Special procedures will be put in place for these early races, the most significant being that the events will take place behind closed doors with no spectators allowed. So please do not turn up at the circuits as you will not be allowed in.
